Kyrina thought her time as a soldier was over until a god dragged her out of New York and into a sanctuary where she is the only thing that doesn't belong. To the Council, she isn't a guest; she’s a variable in a 3,000-year-old prophecy. A mortal mistake. A problem to be contained.

They expected a victim. They got a veteran.

Kyrina doesn’t break; she adapts. While the gods are busy posturing for the throne to see a fragile Phoenix, she’s busy mapping their motives, weaknesses, and measuring their egos. She takes hits that should kill her and stands up with fire in her eyes, proving that training beats divinity the moment things stop being theoretical.

But survival has a price, and every god is an auditor.

Apollo – Bright, loyal, annoyingly perceptive, becomes the first ally she never expected. He sharpens her instincts, pushes her limits, and keeps her from breaking.

Ares – Cold, intense, and entirely too aware of her fire, becomes something else. A primary trainer who tests her. A warrior who challenges her. And in the shadows, a man who watches her like he’s trying to decide whether she’s a threat…
